Knitting tubes for all kinds of clinical purposes
The circular knitting technologies used at Tytex enable us to create seamless tubes ranging from 20 mm in diameter to 260 cm in circumference — if seams are accepted the solutions have close to no upper limit in circumference. The tubes are used as the starting point when creating a belt, bra or undergarment with specific compression, support or fixation properties.
Knitting the tubes allow us to design structures and patterns in the fabric. These structures, also referred to as support or compression zones, can target pressure or relief at specific locations on the body or limb.
With such a wide range of tube diameters we are able to knit targeted compression and support structures not only for seamless limb size garments like sleeves, but also for seamless underwear and belts covering the entire upper or lower body. Moreover, we have optimised our production in order to manufacture garments for even the largest of sizes and we can also offer products and solutions for the growing bariatric market.

Body size solutions
Body size circumference frame: 60-260 cm
When making garments and textile solutions for the body we usually apply the warp technology or the weft knitting technology. Both technologies have their own benefits and drawbacks but we are able to make almost any body sized garment and textile solution by applying these technologies. As standard the garments are produced in colours white, black and tan. But should you have other needs, we will be able to accommodate. Moreover, should you have any special feature or treatment requirements we are able to deliver to your needs either at finish or at yarn.
Pre- and post production treatments
Attachment of device supportive articles such as hinges, stabilizers, cutting, punching, ultrasound bonding, mechanical bonding, sewing, fixation possible. Coloring, logo integration, special design features like embossed/knitted or pad printed also possible.
Usual yarn types
Standard solutions include polyester, polyamide (supplex), cotton, wool, modal, viscose, acetate, tencel, elastane but ability to use many other.
Applicable for
Garments for post op, liposuction and lymphedema, belts, braces, orthotics, scoliosis vests, plaster casting, wearables and technology platforms. Should you have a special request not listed we are more than willing and able to assist you with a solution.

The textile will adapt to the body shape at all times ensuring that the product will provide the necessary compression needed for recovery, as well as the best possible comfort at all times during prolonged wear.
Targeted compression
and support
Targeted compression and support means that our partners' products are designed to provide the necessary compression and support exactly where needed. By controlling compression on the scar tissue, the healing process advances faster and patient comfort is heightened. The compression zones are specially designed into each product based on indication.
Seamless
knitting
For optimum healing, the surgery site needs rest. That is why products from Tytex and our partners are designed to guarantee no seams in the wound or scar area and at any other critical sites of the applied area. This provides maximum skin friendliness and prevents pressure marks, as well as irritation of skin and tissue.
Fact-based
sizing
When it comes to medical textiles and post-op garments, no size fits all. That is why we base all sizes on three parametres; statistical body knowledge, comfort stretch measurements and extensive knowledge and experience with the combination of knitting methods in different materials. The combination of these 3 parameters ensures perfect fit at all times.
Limb size solutions
Limb size circumference frame: 2-90 cm
When making garments and textile solutions for limbs we have a wide range of technologies at our disposal. All technologies have their own benefits and drawbacks but we are able to make almost any limb sized garment and textile solution by applying these technologies. As standard the garments are produced in colours white, black and tan. But should you have other needs, we will be able to accommodate. Moreover, should you have any special feature or treatment requirements we are able to deliver to your needs either at finish or at yarn.
