MALARIA TREATMENT FUNDED BY TYTEX SPONSORSHIP

It's part of our business philosophy to act responsibly and one way of doing this is through sponsorships to NGO's and charity organisations. Since 2016 Tytex has i.a. been sponsoring the Danish organisation Eventure in Zambia with an annual amount for malaria treatment.

Eventure was founded in 2009 with the declared goal to improve conditions and quality of life in developing countries, through long-term, sustainable development. The first project supported by the organisation is Project Zambia, which is a physical project located at the Lake Tanganvika. The physical surroundings here count a sports continuation school, kindergarten, mobile pre-preparatory classes, stadium, multi-sports arena, gym, beach volley court and a private beach next to the lake.

Project Zambia is an attractive place both for the project’s European volunteers and for the Zambian children and youngsters who benefit from the project’s offers. All offers are free, and food, clothes, education, transport etc. are covered by Eventure and its sponsors. The pupils of the project’s continuation school are furthermore sent on to high school after one year. This is also funded by the organisation’s private sponsors and through different high schools’ fundraising campaigns.

FEWER SICK DAYS DUE TO THE SUPPORT FROM TYTEX

We have specifically asked that our contribution is used for a medical purpose as this is in line with our philosophy of “Making healthcare more human”. Hence our contribution covers the pupils’ malaria treatment. The below information and photos have been sent to us by Eventure:

“Formerly, the school attendance and the everyday life of the pupils at the continuation school were very much influenced by frequent cases of malaria". With Tytex’s sponsorship we are now able to give , the pupils a malaria pill every week and it has really made a positive difference.

Every Monday evening we meet with the pupils for entertaining and cosy joint activities, and this is also where they get their malaria pill. Last Monday the theme was quiz night. The pupils and the rest of the Eventure team send warm thoughts to our good friends at Tytex”.
